Here’s the thing about shopping for travel-friendly garments: you’ll almost always want to invest in items that are versatile. Tank tops are such a blessing on particularly hot and sticky days, but the arm holes and straps can sometimes pose a problem depending on how much skin you’re comfortable showing or what kind of bras you tend to wear. For example, a spaghetti-style strap might not be the best option if you prefer a bra with a thicker strap and don’t want it to be visible.
Like all garments you’re buying with the intention of packing for your next getaway, you’ll want to keep washing instructions in mind before buying a tank top. If you tend to wash your clothes while on the go, you’ll want quick-drying garments that you can throw in the wash or hand wash in the sink. There are no rules that say you should or should not wear a bra with a tank top; it depends entirely on what you feel most comfortable doing. If you prefer having the extra support but don’t want your bra straps to be visible, you can always consider investing in a bandeau or strapless bra.
